The Cabrach Whisky Distillery comes to life

We love these visualisations of how the Cabrach Distillery is going to look outside with the traditional whitewashed wall and distillery sign written in big letters on the side of the longhouse. It certainly makes a statement, but somehow still manages to sit comfortably and unobtrusively in the surrounding landscape.

Layout 4And now we start to see what it’s going to look like inside too, with these concept drawings from distillery designers.

Big decisions to made now on how big the stills should be, in order that we make sure we keep the balance between being historically authentic and staying within modern health and safety and production legislation!

  1. Dear Trustees,

    I note with much interest your plans for a new distillery, a very exciting project for the Cabrach community and wider area. I love the architect’s model CGIs, in particular this latest external view with the painted name.

    I have experience in designing and project managing the construction of similar sized distilleries, most notably and relevant is Ballindalloch Distillery; as well as work at the Cotswolds Distillery and a new ( as yet undisclosed ) distillery near Dunkeld with a 1000kg mash tun.

    Much of my work is featured on my websites as well as on my Twitter feed;

    I am very interested in your project and believe I can help to deliver a successful scheme. I would like to offer my services and would be delighted to be given the opportunity to chat with you about it further.

    Kind regards,
