We are very pleased to announce that we have two new trustees joining the board. Gillian Gordon and Bob Yuill have both come on our exciting journey. They bring a wealth of experience in finance and land management
Originally from nearby Clatt, Gillian has lived in the Cabrach for most of her adult life, married to Stanley Gordon, former headkeeper at the Cabrach Estate, and now tenant farmer in the Lower Cabrach .
Gillian has worked in finance and accounts for all of her working life, having worked for a range of local companies, including; Spences Mill, Jaeger, and the Auction Mart in Huntly. After a career break to bring up children, Gillian returned to work as an administrator at the Cabrach school (now the Acorn Centre) where she worked for almost 20 years. Gillian now works as part of the buying team in the Procurement Section of the Moray Council.
Gillian served as a member of the Cabrach Community Enterprise management committee for a number of years and describes her skills as book-keeping, accounts, finance, and procurement, all of which she says, require a fine eye for detail.
Bob lives in Glass. He currently works with the Scottish Agricultural Organisation Society, providing a comprehensive range of development and consultancy services, supported by The Scottish Government and ScotEID who work closely with the Scottish livestock sector & Scottish Government to design, develop and deliver solutions to ensure robust traceability and minimise legislative difficulties.
